Lesson 1 - Staples

How to play each "staple voicings" cleanly and easily on the guitar. This is the foundation for all chords and soloing concepts in this course. Plus "Four Key Jazz Rhythms", posture assessment and a practice session.

Lesson 2 - Conveyor Belt

How to keep your place within a song structure (while chords pass by), introducing the "Top-3 Progressions" and a practice session. 

Lesson 3 - Repertoire

Introduction to chord melody, and an entry-level (solo) arrangement of Autumn Leaves, dissected piece by piece. 

Lesson 4 - Making the Changes

The paradigm shift required to play good jazz solos, including the target-note technique to play authentic jazz lines. Along with the usual practice session

Lesson 5 - Synthesis

"Jam prep" protocol. Plus a full live-band jam session backing track (Autumn Leaves). Play the melody, comp and improvise.

How to apply the Foundations' five-step Jazz Standards Process over 5-10 more songs. Crafting your own Etudes, as well as how to remember previous tunes (i.e.  retention). Plus a full demo by Marc on how to approach a new standard from scratch.

Going deeper in comping (Lesson 6), and improv (Lesson 7), leveraging basic Staples from Foundations. Along with assorted practice sessions, scales, arpeggios, guide-tones and putting it all together ⚡️.

No, reading music is not required. While understanding written music can be beneficial, our approach emphasizes practical learning. The program relies on tabs, diagrams, Soundslice, video guidance, and ear training.

You’ll learn to apply concepts directly on the guitar without needing to read traditional notation. If you’re interested in learning to read music, we can provide resources, but it’s entirely optional.

When you join the program, you will go through the 12-week Jazz Foundations Blueprint. And then, based on your skill level and archetype (which we will determine), you take classes accordingly. You structure your practice sessions with expert feedback.

Yes, we cover jazz theory, but it's introduced progressively and always with practical application in mind. You’ll learn theory in context, using real songs and examples, so it doesn’t feel abstract or overwhelming.

Theory is helpful for understanding jazz, but we make it accessible and optional—you can choose how deep to go based on your interests and goals. Many students find that learning theory this way helps them apply it naturally in their playing.

Jazz Guitar Fellowship is a free community for jazz guitarists all over the world to connect and collaborate.

It does contain some basic information and protocols, but this Accelerator (the paid program) is a superior version, with more hands-on support.

The entire premise of the paid program is that you know exactly what to do, how to do it, and for how long.

In a simple, and organized system.

So you can actually get better at jazz guitar as a result.

Everything else is mostly a waste of time.

It is impossible to coordinate with thousands of free members and make sure they have an excellent experience.

You only need a guitar, an internet connection, and a way to record videos (a smartphone works perfectly). While an electric guitar is typically recommended, you can use an acoustic if that’s what you have. We also suggest using a metronome and, if possible, headphones or speakers to clearly hear yourself in practice. Any additional recommended tools or resources are optional.

We recommend aiming for at least 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. Consistent practice is key to making steady progress. That said, each student’s schedule is unique, and you’re encouraged to practice at a pace that works best for you. The program’s structure allows flexibility, so even short, focused sessions will be effective if done consistently.

We’re confident that the Jazz Guitar Accelerator System will deliver the results you're looking for, so we don’t offer refunds or a trial period. This approach helps us maintain a focused, committed community.

Currently, we don’t offer a formal “pause” option for memberships. However, you can cancel your membership at any time, and you’ll retain access until the end of your current billing cycle.
